Course Overview

The HCIE-Data Center Facility Design V1.0 is an advanced 7-day course tailored for senior facility engineers and project managers. This program focuses on the high-level planning, load calculation, and architectural optimization of Tier-rated data centers. Key modules include complex power distribution logic (UPS and Diesel Generators), chilled water and free-cooling air conditioning systems, and the strategic deployment of DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) for holistic facility monitoring. Participants will gain the expertise to produce professional site selection and feasibility research reports.

Course Outcomes

  • Architect end-to-end power distribution systems including high-capacity UPS and Diesel Generator backup.
  • Perform precise cooling load calculations and design energy-efficient chilled water cooling systems.
  • Implement advanced DCIM solutions to achieve holistic monitoring across hardware and logical layers.
  • Optimize data center infrastructure for energy saving through free-cooling and continuous cooling configurations.
  • Conduct professional data center assessments and produce comprehensive feasibility and site selection reports.
  • Design low-voltage power distribution architectures with optimized conductor and device selection.
  • Apply Tier-standard reliability principles to identify and mitigate single points of failure in facility design.
