Course Overview

The HCIA-Transmission V3.0 is a foundational 10-day course designed for engineers entering the world of optical networking. It provides a comprehensive start-to-finish look at how data travels over light, covering legacy SDH systems, modern WDM/OTN architectures, and the latest MS-OTN products. Participants will transition from theoretical fiber optics to practical skills, including hardware installation, single-site commissioning, and service configuration using Huawei’s NCE-T management platform, preparing them for real-world transmission network deployment and maintenance.

Course Outcomes

  • Explain the core principles of SDH, WDM, and OTN technologies.
  • Install and route cables for Huawei MS-OTN and WDM subracks correctly.
  • Commission optical and electrical boards to ensure optimal power levels and signal quality.
  • Provision end-to-end SDH, PDH, and OTN client services using NCE-T and Web LCT.
  • Implement network protection schemes like SNCP and MSP to ensure high availability.
  • Identify and interpret signal flows through OTM, OLA, and OADM site types.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot common alarms on transmission networks.
